Forest Lawn Memory Gardens was established in 1956 when Fred Meyer purchased an expanse of land in Greenwood. His mission to serve Indiana families became the foundation of this cemeterys legacy. In 1986, the Meyer family expanded their services even further when Indiana state law allowed cemeteries and funeral homes to combine.
